  The
start of 2005 has seen large numbers of waxwings
arrive on Merseyside & area with over 300 counted
between Childwall Fiveways and Derby Lane along
Queens Drive, Liverpool. These colourful winter
visitors from Scandinavia are a welcome sight as
they raid the berry bearing trees and shrubs
around the city.

The waxwing flock in Warrington.
The Waxwings were back in the
same tree in January 2009. Weather very cold and heavy
snow was due to bring the country to a halt.
