Liverbirds WEX at Croxteth Park

The objectives of the Liverpool Liverbirds Wildlife Explorers group are to help educate children about  birds, wildlife in general, the countryside, and the issues that affect the habitats that wildlife need to survive.
We do this through an active programme of indoor and outdoor meetings, each month we hold one indoor and one outdoor meetings.

All meetings are:

  • Open to all RSPB Wildlife Explorers members

  • Open to the general public (small charge for Indoor Meetings)

  • Led by trained volunteer Leaders

  • Attended by a qualified First Aider

  • Risk assessed

  • All children are signed in and out of our meetings, and a parental consent form and contact telephone number must be provided for all children attending our events

We make the learning experience 'fun' through the use of craft activities, talks, games and quizzes, and by taking groups of children  to city parks, our local countryside and nature reserves to enjoy looking at, and learning about nature and various wildlife habitats.

OUTDOOR MEETINGS

Visits to other areas are organised on a regular basis, on these occasions parents / guardians are responsible for transport to and from the meeting venue for the children

Meetings are free unless shown otherwise.

Please dress for the occasion, wear plenty of warm, waterproof clothing and footwear/, appropriate sun protection in the summer.

Facilities cannot be guaranteed, so bring drinks and snacks as required.

If there's bad weather phone Samina Farooqi Tel:  07942 441305 before you set out, in case we have to cancel the event.

Notification of field trips will be given well in advance of the intended date of the trip.
